The Florida Futures Orange program is where our top - 10 and under players start learning more advanced technical skills, footwork, movement and strategy as we start introducing the players to tournaments and competition. It introduces the advancing junior player to tournament play and etiquette and is the first program in our developmental pathway to the Lake Cane Tennis Academy. This is a monthly program with players expected to participate year-round.
Players will work on agility, balance, and coordination as well as rallying and point play.
The Florida Futures Green will transition players from the 60 foot court to the full tennis court using green dot balls. Players will learn how to rally with more consistent depth and placement in order to construct points. Players will keep building on fundamental strokes and techniques taught in the previous classes and continue to participate in USTA tournaments with the ultimate goal being to transition to the yellow ball and eventually to our Lake Cane Junior Tennis Academy. This is a monthly program with players expected to participate year round.
