For over 30 years, MG Tennis has been actively promoting and developing tennis in Central Florida. Long-time supporter and active member of the Greater Orlando Tennis Association, MG Tennis has participated in and hosted numerous events throughout the city, promoting new innovative ideas to attract people to tennis.

Marcelo Gouts
Director of MG Tennis and General Manager
Marcelo Gouts is the president and founder of MG Tennis. Marcelo has directed the tennis operation at Lake Cane Tennis Center since 1988 and has been an active leader in the tennis community for over three decades, making him one of the most experienced Tennis Directors in the State of Florida. A USPTA Elite Teaching professional with over 35 years of experience as a tennis instructor and over 30 years managing public tennis services in Central Florida, Marcelo is a hands-on tennis director and facility operator that continues providing on-court coaching to several adult and youth students that play at the Lake Cane Tennis Center. His primary role is to provide direction and leadership to the programming and staffing of the facility, as well as ensure that all operational policies and procedures are in place and implemented.
Alvaro Layrisse
Alvaro has been the most influential tennis professional in our organization over the past 10 years of operation at Lake Cane Tennis Center. Currently serving as Director of Programs and Instruction,his duties include the support and oversight of over 12 members of the teaching staff as well as the organization of all programs at Lake Cane Tennis Center. As a junior Alvaro was a nationally ranked top 20 player in Venezuela. He attended HamptonUniversity with a full scholarship playing Division 1 tennis for 4 years and helpingHampton reach the NCAA tournament 2 of the years.
BK Setshogo
Before moving to Orlando BK worked at the John Newcomb Tennis Ranch and at Pine Forest Country Club in Houston. As a junior BK achieved an ITF junior world ranking of 166 and was part of the ITF Junior World Touring Team. He attended Drake University with a full Division 1 scholarship where he was 2007 Missouri Valley Conference freshman of the year and an all conference singles and doubles player. BK was also a Davis Cup player for his home country of Botswana.
Ali Perez
Ali has become an integral part of our MG Tennis Staff by teaching tennis players of all ages and skill level. He is an accomplished tennis professional with over 12 years of experience. In his vast career experience, he performed duties as Head Pro and Staff Pro. As a player, Ali has a USTA NTRP rating of 4.5. In addition, he also played ITF Tour level tennis for 5 years. A major highlight in his career, Ali achieved #12 Adult National Single Ranking in Venezuela. Ali holds a US Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Professional certification and a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Instructor certification. Besides bringing his skills to the court, Ali brings fun and a caring attitude to all that he does!
